2009/2010 TAXES ARE NOW AVAILABLE!

Vehicle Renewals: 

Starting February 2, 2010 customers with delinquent registrations will be able to renew online. This will begin with customers who had vehicles expire in December 2009.  There are some exceptions: 

• Vehicles with personalized or special emblem plates may not be renewed online after the second month after the expiration.  (Ex: If the plate’s registration month is December, you cannot renew the vehicle online after February 28th.)
• A vehicle registration cannot be renewed online after the 8th month of penalty.  (Ex: If the plate’s registration month is December, you will not be able to renew online after September 30th.) 

Any vehicles that expired prior to December 2009 will need to be renewed in the office.

• Half year license and apportioned vehicles are not eligible for online renewal at this time. 
• Fire fighter plates cannot be renewed online.
• If you have SR22 or have outstanding debts to the Clerk of Court, Department of Revenue or owe child support you will not be able to renew online.

Accepted On-Line Payment Methods:  eCheck, Discover, MasterCard and Visa are accepted for Internet transactions.

NOTICE A collection fee of $15.00 will be charged on all insufficient fund e-checks returned for non-payment.

    Motor Vehicle and Taxes:  Cash, Check, Master Card, Visa & Discover

    Driver’s License:  Cash or Check

2009 Tax Sale Information W-9

 FYI’s regarding Humboldt County Property Taxes...

•  Pay taxes by Friday, May 29, 2009 to not be published in the newspaper
•  Pay taxes by 4:00 pm, Friday, June 12, 2009 to not be sold at the Tax Sale
•  No taxes will be collected in the office or on the Internet on Monday, June 15, 2009

Welcome to the Humboldt County Treasurer’s Office website.  It is my intention that this site provide you access to my office 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Currently you have the option of paying your current and delinquent property taxes or motor vehicle registration renewals online.

My office is located in the southwest corner of the first floor should you need to transact your business on site.  We are here to assist you in the collection of property tax payments, titling and registering vehicles and driver’s license issuance.

My staff is very knowledgeable and capable of handling your requests.  We look forward to working with you.
