Thank you to all past, present, and future servicemen and women for your service. We appreciate your sacrifices.
Be sure to access www.iowadot.gov/mvd/ovs/index.htm for all the latest info on TIME21, legislation effective January 1, 2009, that may affect your title and/or registration fees.

>>Pay Your Vehicle tags
On-Line Payment Methods accepted for Internet transactions are e-check, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
Motor Vehicle Renewals available online since April 1, 2004!
Your secure PIN number is noted on your vehicle renewal notice. Beginning in February, delinquent vehicles may be renewed online (i.e. starting with December renewals that are delinquent as of February; NOT those delinquent from prior months)
Situations that are ineligible for online renewal (i.e. no PIN shows on notice) include unpaid fines or judgements through court system or DOT or DOR, half year licenses and apportioned vehicles. We continue to pursue these and other ideas to make the online system even more useable for you.
PLEASE NOTE:
e-check payments w/b treated same as paper check for insufficient fund situations. Madison County will assess a $20 NSF charge for any payments made from an account with insufficient funds to cover the transaction. (Iowa Code Section 331.553)
Credit and Debit cards are NOW ACCEPTED in the courthouse office for tax and motor vehicle transactions (NOT drivers license). Remember that there IS a service delivery fee for any transaction.
