Credit Card payments:
If using a credit card (Discover, MasterCard or Visa) the Service Delivery Fee is 2.5% plus $1.50 per transaction.
E-check payments:eChecks (electronic funds transfer) are accepted for Internet transactions at the rate of 40 cents per transaction. If using echeck, the tax receipt number shown on your property tax statement will be required to complete your transaction, and the PIN from your renewal notice is required to complete the renewal of your registration receipt. Please be advised a surcharge of $30 will be assessed for a dishonored check, draft or order as prescribed in Iowa Code 554.3512.
Property Tax Payments may be processed for:
- Property Taxes payable in September 2010 and March 2011 based on January 1, 2009assessment covers July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010 except parcels in the city of Davenport.
- The tax period covered for properties in the city of Davenport. is July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011; which is 39% of the total tax. 61% of the tax is based on the period July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010.
- Special Assessments levied as liens on parcels
- Delinquent property taxes - not purchased on tax sale certificates
- Find your Tax Receipt Number and tax research
- Tax sale rules
- Delinquent tax sale list
Motor Vehicle Registration Renewals:
- Current vehicle registration renewals may be processed online with a PIN generated on your renewal notice.
- Delinquent renewals now may be made online.
In Office Payments may be made with
credit or debit cards.
The service delivery fee for debit cards is $2.00 per transaction.
The service delivery fee for credit cards is 2.5% plus $1.50 per transaction.

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE, A DROP BOX IS AVAILABLE AT BOTH LOCATIONS. At the Scott County Administrative Center the drop box is located in the parking lot on the southwest side of the building. At the County General Store, the drop box is located just east of the Driver’s License Station.
