Property Tax Payments may be processed for:
- Property Taxes payable in September 2007 and March 2008 based on January 1, 2006 assessment covers July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007.
- If using a credit card (Discover, MasterCard or Visa) the Service Delivery Fee is 2.5%plus $1.50 per transaction
- Special Assessments levied as liens on parcels
- Delinquent property taxes - not purchased on tax sale certificates
- Find your Tax Receipt Number and tax research

Motor Vehicle Registration Renewals:
- Current vehicle registration renewals may be processed online with a PIN generated on your renewal notice
- Delinquent vehicle registration renewals are not eligible for online payments at this time
- If using a credit card (Discover, MasterCard or Visa) the Service Delivery Fee is $5.50 per transaction.
E-check payments:eChecks (electronic funds transfer) are accepted for Internet transactions at the rate of 40 cents per transaction. If using echeck, the tax receipt number shown on your property tax statement will be required to complete your transaction, and the PIN from your renewal notice is required to complete the renewal of your registration receipt. Please be advised a surcharge of $30 will be assessed for a dishonored check, draft or order as prescribed in Iowa Code 554.3512.

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE, A DROP BOX IS AVAILABLE AT BOTH LOCATIONS. At the Scott County Administrative Center the drop box is located in the parking lot on the southwest side of the building. At the County General Store, the drop box is located just east of the Driver’s License Station. |

The service delivery fee for credit cards for vehicle registrations is $5.50 per transaction.
The service delivery fee for credit cards for property taxes is 2.5%plus $1.50 per transaction.
