REMINDER: I would like to remind the citizens of Van Buren County that second half property taxes are due and payable by March 1, 2010. You may pay in our office at 404 Dodge Street, Keosauqua, Ia. 52565 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Also, payments can be made by mail to P.O. Box 473 Keosauqua, Ia. 52565, internet or in our drop box located on the south side of the courthouse. To pay online, not in line, our website is www.iowatreasurers.org.
>>Pay Property Taxes-2009-2010 property taxes are now payable online. First half taxes were due September 1, 2009 and were delinquent October 1, 2009. Second half taxes are due March 1, 2010 and delinquent April 1, 2010. Payments accepted on past due taxes, and Tax Sale Redemptions can NOT be made online.
>>Pay Your Vehicle tags-You are only eligible to renew online, if you received a renewal notice through the U.S. Postal Service that contains PIN for online renewal. If your vehicle registration is delinquent or you require SR insurance, or if you have any outstanding debts the vehicle does not qualify for online renewal. Half year license and apportioned vehicles are not eligible for online renewals at this time.
Accepted On-Line Payment Methods-eCheck, Discover, MasterCard and Visa are accepted for Internet transactions. At this time we only accept cash or checks over the counter. Please make checks for the total of the registration renewal or you can write separate checks for separate vehicles, please do not send combinations of cash and checks. Please be advised that a surcharge of $20.00 will be assessed for a dishonored check, draft, or order as prescribed by Iowa Code 554.3512.
