"I am so grateful for and proud of my teams.  I feel that the citizens of Woodbury County are being serviced well by an outstanding staff, the best that can be assembled in any Treasurer’s Office."
                  Bob Knowler

Since taking office in 1995, Bob has brought many innovations to the county that have enable many of the improvments listed here.

The county’s return on his investments are among the highest possible, even during times of low interest rates.

Expendenditures for Bob’s offices have been reuced, while improving the service our customers receive.

We have made it extreemly convenient for our customers by maintaining offices in four locations.  The main tax team is in the Woodbury County courthoue, and the Motor Vehicle team is two blocks North in the Trosper Hoyt building. We also have a full service Treasure’s Office in Anthon, and a Motor Vehicle desk in the Driver’s License station.

For your convenience, e-checks, MasterCards, Visa cards and Discover cards are accepted both online and at each of the four locations.

My team members have  a sense of service to the customer that would rival any retail establishment.

Bob’s efforts and the efforts of his teams were acknowledged in 2001 when he was designated as "The Outstanding Treasurer In The United States" by his peers in the National Association of County Treasurers and Finance Officers.  Bob has qualified for the Degree of Finance Master from the University of Missouri at St. Louis and by University of Tennessee. The Finance Degree is the final level of the four degrees offered by the Universities..

The treasurer’s office, the motor vehicle department and the DNR are all staffed with excellent, knowledgeable and service oriented people that will do everything in their power to give you good service.

Suggestions for improvements in the treasurer’s office are welcome, and requested.

On one of the last steps you are asked to check a box giving us permission to email you a reminder when your property taxes are due. Please do this. It cost nothing for either of us, and is just another nice feature. In the future, I hope to ask you if I can email your tax statement instead of sending a hard copy. This could save our county (you) thousands of dollar per year.

Thanks for your cooperation.
