In addition to collecting property taxes for over 22,000 parcels, our office is also responsible for the issuance of vehicle titles and registrations, as well as the collection of all vehicle fees for the residents of Carroll County. The Carroll County Treasurer's Office also serves as an acceptance facility for U.S. Passport applications.
The goal of our office is to provide quality customer service through positive interactions between you, our customer, and our office staff.
I have been employed in the Treasurer's Office since 1999, and most recently served as Deputy Treasurer. I was appointed Treasurer in January, 2014.

The 2017 Carroll County Tax Sale will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 19, 2017 in the Carroll County Courthouse Lower Level Meeting Room. The list of delinquent taxes will be posted around May 15th.
2015 Property Taxes
Tax bills for 2015 taxes was mailed on August 15, 2016. Online payments will be accepted through May 12th, 2017. The 2015 taxes are based on January 1, 2015 valuations and cover the period of July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016. The first half installment was payable September 2016 (delinquent on October 1, 2016). The second half installment was payable March 2017 (delinquent April 1, 2017).
Discover, Mastercard, Visa and e-Check are accepted for Internet Transactions.
When paying property taxes by parcel number please enter the 10-digit parcel number which appears in the bottom right corner of either payment stub. A $30.00 returned check fee will be assessed on any payment returned due to insufficient funds. Online payments are accepted for past due taxes. Tax sale redemptions can not be made online.
Vehicle renewals may be made online if you have a PIN number from a renewal notice mailed to you through the US Postal Service. If you are required to show proof of SR 22 Insurance or have outstanding debts to the State of Iowa, you will not be eligible to renew online. Half-year license and apportioned vehicles are not eligible for online renewal at this time. A $30.00 returned check fee will be assessed on any payment returned due to insufficient funds. For your convenience we offer the option to sign up for ACH withdrawal of property taxes directly from your bank account. Please contact our office for more information or download this form, complete it, and return it to the Carroll County Treasurer's Office.

The Carroll County Courthouse is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Highway 30 and Main Street in Carroll.
The Carroll County Courthouse is handicap accessible. Enter the main door on the north side of the courthouse. Proceed past the Treasurer's Office and to the left to access the elevator.
