ATTENTION HOLIDAY SHOPPERS!! Have you thought about getting special order plates for that someone special? To guarantee delivery by Christmas, the DOT needs orders by November 21st! You can order online at www.iowadot.gov>vehicle owners>vehicles>plates-order specialty plates OR you can order by mail. If you come into our office we will submit your application for you! Any orders received after will not be guaranteed for Christmas.
THE CURRENT YEAR'S TAXES ARE NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE!! You can now print a copy of your tax statement on our website by entering the payment information, and click on "Display Details".
Experience The Convenience of Paying Online!
Payments may be made on-line using an E-Check, Mastercard, Visa, or Discover. A service delivery fee will apply. You will need a current receipt number (tax) or PIN (vehicle) to pay online. Call one of our offices for assistance.
If your E-Check does not "Clear," whether due to lack of funds, or incorrect entry of your ABA or account numbers, a twenty dollar fee will be charged.
>>Pay Property Taxes; The statements for the taxes payable in September, 2018, and in March, 2019, will be mailed in August, 2018. Taxes become due September 1 and March 1, and delinquent October 2nd and April 2nd. You have until September 30 to pay, but since September 30th falls on the weekend, you will have until October 1st to pay without penalty this year. You March, 2019 installment will be similar with March 31 falling on Sunday, you will be able to pay those April 1st.
>>Pay Your Vehicle tags; To renew your car license online, you must have a pin number and be free of "Stops," placed on your records by the State of Iowa.
RE: TAX SALE REDEMPTIONS
You will have to pay by mail or in the office in order to redeem a tax sale certificate. You may call for the amount due. However, between May 1 and July 31, you must pay with certified funds (cash, cashier check, money order or we will accept a debit or credit card [additional fees apply].) We also require certified funds if a 90-Day Notice of Expiration of Right of Redemption has been served. If you have questions, please call our office at 641-683-0040.
