NOTICE TO TAX SALE PURCHASERS 2025

2025/2026 Property Tax Statements were mailed August 15th, 2025

1st half is due September 1, 2025

2nd half is due March 1, 2026

For your convenience you can pay online, via mail or in our dropbox on the west side of the courthouse.

If you are paying online with an e-check you will need a "pin" number--it is located in the upper right hand corner of your statement and is referred to as your receipt number or you may call the office @ 641-932-5011 and we will get the number for you.

Pay Online:

Mastercard, Visa, Discover and e-Check are accepted for Internet Transactions. Please be advised that a service fee will be charged when making an internet payment.  

Secure Drop Box is located at the west entrance to the courthouse

There will be a $30.00 returned check fee on any returned payments.

• Written Tests:  In office 8:30am to 3:00pm 
  • Instruction Permit tests can be done at home for now!  Go to www.iowadot.gov/mvd/driverslicense/service-selector to find out more.

  • CDL Testing you need to be here by 2:30pm
• Albia High School Students now have the ability to register in the High School Office to take the online Operator Instruction Permit Test.  See the school office for testing times and location.Click here for the link to the IDOT'S website for helpful information and the online practice test option.
• Drive Tests: Drive tests are given on Thursdays. Please call the office to make an appointment.
• For Driver's License Records Questions or Driving Record Information please call Ankeny at 515-244-8725 or Ottumwa at 641-682-4855. You also have the ability to go to the IDOT's website and send an email or do a Live Chat with an IDOT Employee.  To access the Live Chat option you will need to click on the "Driver's License Information"  on the right hand side of the screen.  Click here to be directed to the IDOT"s website.
