2018 Tax Sale Information - The 2018 Hancock County Tax Sale will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018. The sale will be conducted at the Hancock County Courthouse and bidders shall place their bids online. Bidders need not be present at the courthouse. 2018 Notice to Tax Sale Purchasers

If you wish to attend the sale in person, a limited number of computers will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Wireless internet access will be available for bidders using their own laptop. Please note, all bids must be placed online. Live bids will not be accepted. BEGINNING FEBRUARY 1, 2017 A BILL OF SALE WILL BE REQUIRED ON ALL TRANSFERS OF OWNERSHIP IN THE TREASURERS OFFICE.

Taxes are for the time period July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018
Based on Valuation of January 1, 2017

DRAINAGE AND SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS WILL BE INCLUDED ON THE NEW REAL ESTATE TAX    BILLING STATEMENT     THESE WILL BE DUE WITH THE FIRST HALF PAYMENT            
  • Property Tax - Payments are now accepted on current and past due taxes. Your receipt number is 6 digits and located in four different places on your tax statement.  Click here to see a sample.   
  • Motor Vehicle Renewals - To renew your vehicle license online you must have received your renewal notice via the U.S. Postal Service.  This renewal notice contains your PIN number needed for online renewals. Half year license and apportioned vehicles are not eligible at this time.
